X-Men Origins: Wolverine has definitely fallen in the hands of a director that has a vision and creativity to show the human side of a larger-than-life character. The movie does not only offer action-packed scenes, but also gives moviegoers a story that will reveal the essence of Wolverine, a hero that defies some of the conventions and perceptions people have of what a superhero should be like. and the Vietnam War. Logan took it upon himself to watch over his friend, Victor Creed (Saber Tooth) whose impulses and rage could cause trouble to innocent people. As consequence to this, both Victor and James were sentenced to death by firing squad. They did not die of course because of their self-regenerating abilities. After years of fulfilling missions for Team X, James felt disgusted by all the killings they did to accomplish the missions. He left the team and planned to start a new life as a normal person. On the other hand, his past as an assassin always came to haunt him. While some comic book aficionados are excited to see their favorite graphic novels come to life on the big screen, there are those who would rather keep the comic book a comic book for valid reasons. We cannot deny the fact that there have been some comic book film adaptations that totally butchered the essence of the story that made fans love the comic book in the first place. But when a comic book is passed on to the hands of a director with a vision and respect for the fans and creator of the graphic novel, seeing the graphic novel transformed into a movie becomes not only a treat for the senses, but the soul, as well. X Men Origins: Wolverine is one of those film adaptations that got the right mix of director and actors. Because Wolverine is a complex character that both embodies contradicting concepts of humanity and immortality, the movie requires an actor and a director who would be able to present the essence of the character to the readers without going overboard or leaving out important aspects of the graphic novel. Hugh Jackman fits the role and was able to bring out the vulnerable side of the character. Director Gavin Hood was able to highlight not only the action scenes but also those dramatic scenes that became instrumental for the plot development of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. All in all, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a must-see for both comic book aficionados and newbies to the genre alike. And because the story is about the humanity of a superhero, people from various walks of life would be drawn to the movie.
